Founder and CEO

Robert Gangi is a visionary leader and innovative entrepreneur with a remarkable career spanning over two decades in the electrical and germicidal systems industries. His professional journey began at Gangi Electrics, where he honed his skills as an electrician and established a solid foundation in business operations and management. Robert’s expertise and dedication soon propelled him to spearhead Gangi Germicidal Systems, where he played a pivotal role in developing advanced germicidal technologies that revolutionised industry standards.

Currently, Robert serves as the driving force behind Lindo, a cutting-edge company specialising in sustainable and innovative solutions. At Lindo, he leverages his extensive experience and forward-thinking approach to lead a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to delivering top-tier services and products. Robert’s commitment to excellence and his ability to adapt to emerging trends have positioned Lindo at the forefront of the industry, ensuring the company remains competitive and influential.

Mark Hudson

Operations Director

Mark Hudson is a dynamic leader with nearly 20 years of experience in government, defence, and industry settings. Formally a Special Forces Operator within the ADF, he excels in building and leading teams in organisational and operational environments. Mark’s passion for developing capability and driving systemic change is evident in his expertise, which spans capture management, bid leadership, business development, operations management, and project management. His commitment to operational excellence and proven leadership have honed his skills in optimising processes, managing complex projects, and fostering innovation. Mark develops high-performing teams to drive positive change within organizations and brings to Lindo the ability to align operational strategies with business objectives to achieve sustainable growth.

Rebecca Johns

GM, Growth and Commercial

Rebecca Johns is a seasoned professional specialising in strategy, growth and go-to-market execution. With a 25-year legal career and a robust background in sales and business development, she excels at building and nurturing relationships that drive business success. As a dynamic leader, Rebecca has a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to achieve goals and drive strategic initiatives. Her expertise spans from legal and commercial advisory to strategic analysis and planning, making her a versatile asset to Lindo. Rebecca’s commitment to fostering collaborative environments and her commercial acumen have consistently delivered outstanding results in competitive markets.

Urbain du Plessis

Lead Lighting Engineer

Urbain has almost 40 years of technology focussed, new businesses creation experience across multiple industries, market sectors and geographies.  
He has brought over 1000 products successfully to market whilst creating and managing new business units for global lighting brands such Zumtobel (Austria) and Hella (Germany), managed technology startups sold to Nvidia, held CTO and COO roles in ASX listed companies and facilitated strategic mergers and integrations. During his Hella tenure, Urbain managed sales & marketing in >50 countries in addition to 12 manufacturing sites.
 
His experience in technology developments range across physical based simulation software, IoT platforms, optics, luminaires and light sources, digital and analogue electronics, electrical connectors, polymers, laser & UV processing systems, radio-isotope processing, photometric and accelerated environmental testing, acoustics, electrical safety in explosive atmospheres as well as food safety chemistry and systems, his development have attracted numerous patents and awards.
 
Urbain represents Australia at the Commission International d’Eclairage – (global scientific & lighting standards body), is a Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (global motorsport regulator) technical expert, and judge AIIA and APICTA technology awards and IES lighting awards.

With over 20 years of experience in sales and business development across various industries, Ryan excels in strategic planning, collaboration, and fostering strong relationships. As a seasoned Business Manager, his career is marked by a unique blend of culture and energy that drives results. Skilled in leading teams, managing national accounts, and executing marketing strategies, Ryan thrives on engaging with people and inspiring them to achieve their best.

Luke Knowles

Asia

With over 20 years of technology sales and business development experience spanning Asia Pacific, Japan and the Middle East, Luke has consistently delivered double- and triple-digit revenue growth with large multinationals and scale-ups alike. During his 14 years in Singapore, he has led regional go-to-market strategies including APAC first-on-ground through to company acquisition. Luke holds an MBA from RMIT, and several industry certifications including MEDDPICC sales management framework.

Tony Frencham

Chair

Tony brings three decades of strategy development and technology management experience that has delivered successful growth across both product and services industries. He has led executive and governance teams in Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America during his career with Dow Chemical and Worley. Most recently Tony was the Chair and Non-Executive Director of VECKTA, a distributed energy digital marketplace start-up headquartered in California. He is currently the Chair of the CSIRO Energy business unit advisory group, and Chair of the Maxme advisory board. 

Glenn Gillen

Board Member

Glenn is a seasoned professional with a rich background in technology and entrepreneurship. With over two decades of experience in the tech industry Glenn has founded, led, advised, and invested in everything from early-stage startups through successful multi-billion dollar IPOs. His journey spans various roles, including software engineering, product management, and executive leadership.

Glenn focuses on leveraging innovative technologies to solve real-world problems and drive business growth, especially around product strategy and commercialisation. His passion lies in building high-performing teams and creating impactful products that make a difference. Outside of work, he enjoys sharing his knowledge through speaking engagements and mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs.

Christine Cussen

Board Member

A highly experienced, commercially astute, purpose driven Chief Executive Officer & Board Director. With a track record of success in identifying and delivering profitable growth in the corporate, multinational, ASX listed, start up, private and government sectors across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, industrial, innovation and technology industries in Australia, North America and Europe.

An Australian based director of the Australian subsidiary of several international pharmaceutical and medical technology companies. With skills in the capital markets, financial sustainability, business growth, change management, and operational excellence.

Experience in managing businesses in a tough fiscal environment That brings a growth and entrepreneurial mindset to the Board to allow the organisation to succeed in business strategy and transformation, technology & research enablement, global commercialisation, innovation and customer excellence.

Steve Butcher

Board Member

An accomplished C-Suite executive, Steve has extensive experience in UK and international rail and transport operations. As a Managing Director and CEO, he has overseen large-scale projects in heavy and light rail, ATO Metro, ferries, and bus operations. He has led PPP and joint venture agreements, managing P&L accountability exceeding $3 billion. Steve’s expertise includes operations, maintenance, civil and signalling design, and construction. A board member and chairman for various transport and safety boards, he also champions diversity in rail and transport. A former British Army Reserve officer, Steve brings strategic insight and leadership to advisory roles.

Mark Smethurst DSC, AM

Board Member

Mark Smethurst DSC, AM is a distinguished senior executive leader with over 35 years of service in the Australian Army, retiring as a Brigadier. His extensive experience spans high-level command, operations, and training, excelling in complex strategic challenges.

Mark has commanded at all levels, including the Special Air Service Regiment and the Deputy Commander of Australian Special Forces Command. He led NATO Special Forces in Afghanistan and served as the inaugural non-US Deputy Chief of Operations for the United States Special Operations Command.

After leaving the Australian Defence Force in 2017, he managed the NSW State Emergency Service for two years. In 2019, he founded Unleash Consulting Pty Ltd, offering board and advisory services across various industries in Australia.

Additionally, Mark contributes to the Global SOF Foundation’s Advisory Board in the US and chairs the Commando Welfare Trust, underscoring his commitment to service and leadership.
